  **Platform release. Infrastructure-heavy; most customer flows unchanged.**

  **Customer-visible**

  * **Interactive messages on `/messages/send`** — send a free-form text message with **1–3 reply buttons** or **1 CTA URL button**. New body fields: `message_type` (`text` / `interactive` / `cta_url`), `header`, `footer`, `buttons[]`, `button_text`, `button_url`. See [Send text message](/api-reference/endpoints/send-text-message).
  * **Document filename preserved** on template sends — pass `header_document_name` and recipients see the real filename (e.g. `Brochure.pdf`) instead of a random `file_<id>.pdf`.
  * **CSV campaigns** now run as a background queue Job instead of a synchronous request. No UI change; large CSVs no longer time out the browser tab.

  **Behind the scenes (no customer action needed)**

  * **Per-tenant `assigned_plan_id`** added — workspace owners can be assigned a fallback / override plan separately from their active subscription. Admin-managed; surfaces in your Billing page if applied.
  * **Schema groundwork** for upcoming features: Facebook Messenger templates + campaigns, dashboard widget customization. These are **not yet exposed in the UI** — they're scheduled for a later release.
  * **Embedded Meta signup** module (stock) — streamlines new WABA connection in [Connect Meta Business](/whatsapp/connect-meta-business). No setup difference for existing accounts.

  **Unchanged**

  * REST API contract (`/api/v1/{subdomain}/...`, same envelope, same auth, same rate limits)
  * Outbound webhooks scope (Contact / Status / Source CRUD)
  * All existing dashboard pages, automations, templates, chat, team / role behavior

  **Coming in a future release (not v3.0.0)**

  * Facebook Messenger templates + campaigns (schema landed; UI pending)
  * Per-user dashboard widget customization (schema landed; UI pending)
  * Message status outbound webhooks (separate module — deployed when ready)
